League of Legends may have beat Overwatch to the punch when it comes to their animated series Arcane, but Overwatch still has some fantastic animated shorts that fans can watch online. To prep for their next big in-game event, Overwatch 2 has dropped a new short featuring the character of Sojourn, and it pushes the lore forward when it comes to the whole OW story.

With the Overwatch Task Force out of commission, former Captain Sojourn settles into a quiet life of corgis, coffee, and croissants… or so it seems.
Though the game had launched with three new heroes in the form of Sojourn, Junker Queen, and Kiriko, the game had waited this long to finally put Sojourn in her own animated short. Not only do we get to see her chilling in her native Canada, but we also get to meet her pet Murphy (who also has cybernetic enhancements).
For now, the game is gearing up for a new event dubbed Invasion which will have the disbanded Overwatch teaming up again to fight against Null Sector, led by the omnic Ramattra. The event promises a whole new story mission, but players who want to be able to access it will have to dish out $15 to get it. Don’t worry though, because the package also comes with Overwatch coins, a new Legendary skin for Sojourn, and more.
Overwatch 2: Invasion launches on Aug. 10. Overwatch 2 is now available free-to-play for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and Nintendo Switch.
