Avatar: The Last Airbender will go down in history as one of the most beloved animated shows of all time, and head writer Aaron Ehasz has teamed up with Netflix to bring us this new show called The Dragon Prince. A new trailer has dropped for the series, and it gives us a good look at the characters as well as the lore of the world.

The Last Airbender fans might recognize the voice of the lead boy Callum who is voiced by Jack De Sena; in Avatar, De Sena provided the voice of comic relief Sokka. It looks like The Dragon Prince will follow the Avatar formula by having a lead trio consisted of a kick-ass girl, the main boy hero, and the comic relief. Don’t forget the mascot animal.
I’ll admit, I was a bit disappointed that the show didn’t have the same quality of animation as Avatar, but seeing that there’s going to a videogame set in the same world as The Dragon Prince, I figured it was a deliberate choice to have animation in the show and the game feel consistent.
