It was back in 2022 when we got a unique horror movie in the form of Smile and now director Parker Finn is set to traumatize everyone again with the upcoming sequel, Smile 2.
Just in, we have a new teaser and it stars Naomi Scott (Aladdin) as a pop-star with several eyes on her (and potential victims to be traumatized en masse). Check this out:

Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.
If you’ve watched the first film, you’ll know that the ‘entity’ that is the central villain in Smile is kind of a walking metaphor for trauma. It terrorizes its victim for a while by making them see all kinds of terrible illusions until it ultimately possesses them; then, it will force its victim to kill themselves in front of another person, and that witness will be the demon’s next host.
With the story focused on a pop-star, it’s possible that the demon could be aiming to traumatize multiple people at the same time, which could lead to horrifying results. Then again, we could get some kind of commentary on events that traumatize multiple people (like 9-11) and how society is affected by it.
Then again, with the protagonist of the last movie losing, I’d want to see someone actually beat the demon for once.
