Kumail Nanjiani has Allegedly been Cast in Fallout

Fallout from Amazon Prime Video has managed to have a lot of great guest stars from Matt Berry to Chris Parnell, and with the second season incoming, it looks like one Silicon Valley star could be joining the ranks of Lucy and the Ghoul.

According to The InSneider (via @DiscussingFilm), Kumail Nanjiani (Eternals) has been cast in the second season of Fallout. No details have been revealed about who he could be playing, but Nanjiani has been very open about working on so-called ‘nerdy’ properties. He worked on the Shadow of Mordor franchise, and he was also a supporting character in the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries.

If Nanjiani is playing anyone is Fallout, it’s very possible that it’s going to be a comedic character. I mean, he did deliver a serious take with the true crime drama Welcome to Chippendales, but Nanjiani’s real strength is in comedy—not just his Marvel Studios-mandated muscles.

As for Fallout, the second season teases that we could see the story going to New Vegas. After all, it’s been revealed that Lucy’s dad Hank is the actual villain of the story, and he’s been in cahoots with all the rich people who were behind the nuclear war. Now Lucy and the Ghoul are teaming up to catch him; but at the same time the conspiracy continues to build for Vault 33, which is revealed to be right next to the vault storing all of the people that Hank was working with.

The lore is rich and the humor is great, and I can’t wait to get back to the world of Fallout maybe sometime next year.
