It’s going to be a couple of years before we get to see James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy, but Adult Swim is going to be giving us a new take on the Man of Steel with My Adventures with Superman.
The series is set to premiere in July, and we have a new trailer featuring a whole new Superman alongside his team from the Daily Planet including Lois Lane and Jimmy Olsen. Check this out:
The synopsis reads:
In this serialized coming-of-age story, we follow Clark (Jack Quaid) as he builds his secret Superman identity and embraces his role as the hero of Metropolis – and perhaps the world. Lois (Alice Lee), now growing into a star investigative journalist, takes aspiring photographer Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid) under her wing. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love, sharing adventures, taking down bad guys, stumbling over secrets, and discovering what it means to be Superman and Lois Lane.
Though we should expect Superman to be at the center of the show, the title does imply that the lead of the series is actually Lois Lane. With everyone having a basic idea of how Superman should be portrayed, it could be interesting to see just how the character changes through the eyes of his OG pairing.
So far, I love the entire look of My Adventures with Superman , and I’m excited to see how the tackle the familiar Superman formula. I’m even love their design for Lois who looks a lot like Luz from The Owl House.
Catch My Adventures with Superman when it premieres on Adult Swim on July 6 with it’s premiere on Max the next day.
