The Mortal Kombat franchise has a lot of iconic villains, and one mainstay has been the sorcerer Quan Chi. Quan Chi is one of the incoming DLC characters, and MK has given an official look at his gameplay. They also include a teaser for another upcoming DLC character—John Cena’s Peacemaker.

When it comes to the game, Quan Chi has always been known to be a sorcerer, so he usually summons all kinds of things into battle. For this MK1 version though, they give him some portal powers, and he makes use of an Eldritch horror to help him do his dirty work.
Besides Quan Chi, the trailer also gives us a look at incoming Kameo character Khameleon. Khameleon was originally introduced as a hidden character, and she was another color swap warrior for the Kitana model. In MK1, Khameleon can change colors, and she has the abilities of all the color swap girls including Kitana, Jade, and Mileena.
No gameplay has been revealed for Peacemaker, but at least we know that he’s next in the DLC characters lineup. Let’s hope Cena manages to deliver.

Quan Chi will be available for Early Access on Dec. 14 and will fully launch on Dec. 21. Mortal Kombat 1 is now available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.
