Morgan Stark Returning to the MCU?

Morgan Stark had lost her father Tony by the end of Avengers: Endgame, and ever since, she’s pretty much remained offscreen while the rest of the Marvel universe trudged along. With Robert Downey Jr. set to return as Doctor Doom, rumor has it that another Stark may be coming back to Marvel as well.

According to insider @MyTimeToShineH (via @update_marvel), Morgan Stark may be set to return to the MCU, and she’s going to be played by Katherine Langford.

Just in case you’re wondering where Langford was in Endgame, her scene was actually deleted. She was originally cast to play an adult Morgan Stark who Tony sees in a vision after he snaps the Infinity Gauntlet —much like how Thanos sees a young Gamora when he erases half the universe.

Apparently, test audiences couldn’t make the connection that Langford was an adult version of Stark’s daughter, so they ultimately just decided to cut the scene.

Ever since Endgame, Morgan Stark hasn’t really been teased for anything in the future, but she could very well provide a kind of emotional anchor for a character like Doctor Doom. In the comics, Doom has an adopted daughter Valeria, who is actually the daughter of Reed Richards and Sue Storm.

So far, it’s unclear what would make RDJ’s Doctor Doom tick, but it has been rumoured that he does come from the same universe as Pedro Pascal’s Richards. So it’s possible that he could end up adopting Valeria after the Galactus incident, and she would grow up to be Katherine Langford.

It’s just a pitch for now, but after Langford got her scene left on the cutting room floor, having her play Valeria Von Doom in the MCU would be a neat piece of meta-casting.

RDJ is expected to appear in Fantastic Four: First Steps which releases in theatres July 25, 2025.
