Ever since Strange Things, Millie Bobby Brown has come to be one of the best young actors of a generation. While she may be an A-lister now, she had almost quit acting after a failed audition for a not-so-unpopular HBO show.
Talking to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Brown had revealed that she had almost quit acting after a bad audition for Game of Thrones. She says:
“I think I was just very disheartened by the rejection, which is something I tell everyone. This industry is just full of rejection 24/7. You get ‘No’s, a lot of ‘No’s, before you get a ‘Yes.’ And I was auditioning for commercials, for anything really. I then auditioned for Game of Thrones and I got a ‘No’ for that. Then, that’s when I was like, ‘This is really difficult,’ and I guess I really wanted that role.”
While everyone would think that she would have auditioned for the role of Arya Stark, ScreenRant has pointed out that Brown had actually auditioned for the part of Lyanna Mormont (which later went on to Bella Ramsay). Though it’s kind of a Bummer that we never got to see Brown’s version of the Lady Bear, she probably wouldn’t have landed Eleven if she had gotten the Thrones role.
For now, Stranger Things 4 is said to have restarted production after a long hiatus. We don’t know what Eleven’s role is going to be moving forward, but it will probably have something to do with retrieving Hopper in Russia somehow.
Stranger Things 4 is set to hit Netflix sometime in 2021. You can also catch Brown in her new Netflix film, Enola Holmes.
