While everyone is waiting on Tarantino’s take on Star Trek, later this year will see the release of his movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Sony has just dropped a new trailer for the movie, and it gives us more on the Manson Family and Margot Robbie’s Sharon Tate.
Quentin Tarantino’s ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) make their way around an industry they hardly recognize anymore.
Seeing that Tarantino basically rewrote history with Inglourious Basterds, I have a feeling we might see the same thing happen in this film. The murder of Sharon Tate (and her unborn child) by the Manson Family was no doubt a terrible tragedy, so I’m guessing Tarantino might want to do a little wish fulfillment and make her live by the end of the film.
Then again, that’s just my guess. Personally I don’t think I’m equipped to watch Margot Robbie get murdered brutally onscreen.
