The Addams Family may have come back to theaters in the form of animated movies, but Netflix is set to give us another live-action adaptation with the upcoming series Wednesday. Just in, we have a look at the principal cast of the show which includes Jenna Ortega as Wednesday, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia, Luis Guzman as Gomez, and Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley.

Though the Addams Family has been best known for its surreal take at a loving American family, Wednesday is said to be focusing more on the young Wednesday and her emerging psychic powers.
I guess it’s worth noting that the previous Wednesday Addams actress, Christina Ricci, has also been cast in the series, but so far we have no idea who she’ll be playing in the show.
With the Addams Family being a very unique comedy, I’m curious how Tim Burton will approach the series. Will it be dark and creepy like Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? Or will it embrace the wackier comedy side of the source material?
A sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery charting Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday’s attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago – all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
No specific release date has been set for Wednesday yet, but the series is expected to premiere sometime later this year on Netflix.
