Marvel may be busy peddling the release of Black Widow in May, but this November will see the release of their second Phase 4 film, Eternals. While we don’t have any teaser yet, Sersi actress Gemma Chan has confirmed that production has wrapped for the film.

What’s cool is, Sersi is actually Chan’s second role in the MCU. She had played the villain Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel. While the MCU is no stranger to recasting characters for second roles, Chan is probably the first to get play two prominent characters in two separate films. Then again, I always thought that her Minn-Erva was kind of forgettable. Good thing that Marvel thought so too and gave her something more substantial.
Set photos have confirmed that Sersi will be connected romantically to Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman/Black Knight, so we could probably expect some kind of Age of Adaline drama; seeing that Sersi is an Eternal with Whitman being a mortal. Then again, they could always use some kind of magic to make Whitman live longer. I would personally love to see him be part of the Avengers at some point.
Marvel Studios’ The Eternals features an exciting new team of Super Heroes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, ancient aliens who have been living on Earth in secret for thousands of years. Following the events of Avengers: Endgame, an unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, The Deviants.
