Marvel Studios has pretty much slowed down with the live-action Disney+ shows, but it looks like they’re looking to revisit some properties that have been long overdue for a second season.
According to insider Daniel RPK (via @cosmic_marvel), Marvel is currently considering a second season for Ms. Marvel starring Iman Vellani. No further details have been specified, but it has been rumoured that Ms. Marvel was being considered for a guest appearance in Daredevil: Born Again, before they decided to just have Kamala’s dad show up instead.
It’s worth noting that Ms. Marvel was originally developed in a non-traditional way. It was said that the early Disney+ Marvel series were treated like really long movies, which lead to a lot of problems when it came to production.
The Daredevil reboot is said to be the start of a return to the traditional format with the hiring of a proper showrunner who would create a ‘series bible’ for the show. No doubt Ms. Marvel is also going to go through the same process should a second series get greenlit.
Though Ms. Marvel also received the ire of the anti-woke fanbase, the show was actually very well-received, and has been praised for its depiction of modern Muslim culture. The series even got praise for Watchmen series and Lost creator Damon Lindelof who wrote about Ms. Marvel:

Fingers crossed the rumor about a Ms. Marvel 2 is true.
