2025 is a big year for Marvel’s Fantastic Four, so it makes sense that Marvel Rivals would want to bring the heroes in this year. Season 1 had started with the drop of Mr. Fantastic and the Invisible Woman, and now we have a look at the Human Torch (Johnny Storm) and Ben Grimm (the Thing).
Check them out here:
Johnny is a duelist in the game, and like Iron Man, focuses mainly on being a flighty hero, zipping around and throwing fire at enemies. What’s neat is that he also has a team-up with Storm where they can combine their attacks and make a fiery hurricane with added damage that can even destroy environments.
As for Ben, he’s a vanguard of the team, and while he’s not as mobile as the Hulk, he does make up for it for being literally solid as a rock; having a passive that doesn’t allow anyone to displace him from where he is. His melee attacks also seem to come out pretty fast, and his big health makes him very hard to kill.
It’s worth noting that the Fantastic Four also have a team-up with the Invisible Woman that allows for them to gain bonus health as long as they’re in the same team. Even with just four, they already make a well-balanced team with two duelists, a strategist, and a vanguard.
Hopefully players will find out who the optimal teammates for the Fantastic Four will be down the line.
Ben and Johnny come to Marvel Rivals on Feb. 21. Marvel Rivals is now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
