Marvel Rivals has only been out for a weekend, and people are already posting all their thoughts about the game online. Though all the reviews have mostly been positive, one hero has managed to collectively piss off every player—and that’s Lin Lie’s Immortal Iron Fist.
Apparently, Iron Fist has become a nightmare to deal with in the game. Not only is he deadly up close, but he’s also incredibly mobile that he’s able to chase flyers like Iron Man across a map and take him out mid-air.

Since this is still only a few days after launch, people were expecting a patch to help balance things out, but as it stands, Iron Fist is completely overpowered, and even low-skill players have no problem using him to take out full HP Hulks.

Probably the only other character that gets almost as much hate is Jeff the Land Shark. Though he is supposed to be a support character, his ultimate where he gobbles up everyone around him and chucks them in a specific location—preferably outside the map—has deemed him as the ‘Hitler’ of the game.

Then again, with so many complaints of OP characters in Marvel Rivals, it does seem like it’s become a meme for everyone to complain about every other character except their main for being broken. Some think that NetEase will definitely fix this, but the recurring joke is that the devs made every character OP on purpose to let players just have the freedom to wreak havoc.
No incoming patch has been announced, but maybe fans should expect it in a month or two after enough data has been gathered from the launch.
Marvel Rivals is now available for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
