Marvel Studios may be gearing up for the release of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier this week, but they haven’t forgotten about the other properties that are set to release within the year. Just in, we have a new poster for Loki with Tom Hiddleston front and center.

While the Loki in the main universe may have been killed by Thanos, we have confirmation from the trailers that the Loki in this series is the one that escapes with the Tesseract. While the ‘main’ Loki has had his character journey from villain to ally, the Loki that this show centers on is still a full-on villain, and it’s going to be interesting to see just how he evolves throughout the course of the show.
We don’t know exactly how the show is going to go, but based on the other clips we’ve seen from the trailer, it’s likely that we could see Loki travelling around time and influencing events to his advantage. This will then result to him being captured by the Time Variance Authority, and from then we can just assume that things escalate and the stakes just get higher.
Oddly enough, there is also one clip from the teaser of someone who looks to be Black Widow. With this series releasing after her solo movie, it would be interesting to see how this show would be connected—even if it’s just an alternate version of Natasha.
Catch Loki on Disney+ when it premieres on June 11. The Falcon and The Winter Soldier premieres this week.
