After the massive success of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on the Switch, Nintendo is now ready to come back for the sequel featuring gaming’s most misnamed protagonist Link. Tears of the Kingdom is set to release this May, and we have a new trailer showing the expanded kingdom of Hyrule.

The official description reads:
An epic adventure across the land and skies of Hyrule awaits in The Legend of Zelda™: Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch. The adventure is yours to create in a world fueled by your imagination.
In this sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom?

With the Nintendo Switch not really having the same kind of power that the Xbox or PlayStation has, it’s kind of mesmerizing how the game is promising this vast new world for players to explore.
I guess it’s also worth noting that Nintendo is now charging players $70 for the game, but with the rising prices of the competition, I think it was only a matter of time before Nintendo started charging some more for their titles. Hopefully it will all be worth it come May.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is set to release on May 1 for the Nintendo Switch.
