It was 2017 when The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild released alongside the Nintendo Switch, and now fans are excited for the release of the sequel, Tears of the Kingdom, six years later. Just in, we have a new trailer for the game, and it expands on the world of Hyrule as well as Link’s mission.

In this sequel to the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game, you’ll decide your own path through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above. Can you harness the power of Link’s new abilities to fight back against the malevolent forces that threaten the kingdom?
Though the story of Tears of the Kingdom is still pretty vague, the main hook of the game is definitely Link’s expanded roster to abilities, from being able to reverse time on objects, to being able to travel through ceilings, no matter how high.
Tears also promises a new combat system that allows Link to craft all kinds of weapons, no matter how silly; and he’s also able to craft vehicles as well that could help him traverse through the land or sea.
It all seems pretty extensive for a platform like the Switch, but hopefully Nintendo has managed to make it happen.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom launches for the Nintendo Switch on May 12.
