Leslie Grace Announces Batgirl Production Wrap

We may have to wait until 2023 to get a look at The Flash and Aquaman 2, but fans are still hoping that Batgirl makes its rumored release date later this December. The good news is, the movie has officially wrapped production, and it’s straight to the editing room for Batgirl.

This was confirmed by star Leslie Grace who posted a photo of herself with directors Bilall Fallah and Adil El Arbi. Check them out:

As of now, we still have no official plot for the film, but we do know that Brendan Fraser’s Firefly is going to be the main antagonist, and there’s going to be appearances from J.K. Simmons as Jim Gordon and possibly Michael Keaton as Batman.

With The Flash rumored to be making Keaton the main Batman of the DCEU timeline, there are a lot of questions as to what continuity Batgirl will be following. Though some are hoping that Batgirl comes out this year, it’s possible that we may have to wait until The Flash so that everyone can be put into place for Batgirl. Personally I’m just hoping that WB changes their mind and has this film come out in theaters, but we don’t know what the pandemic situation will be like by that time in 2023.

We don’t know when we’ll get an official look at the film, but with production having wrapped, we probably don’t have to wait too long. My guess is we could have some kind of teaser around the release of Black Adam in July.

For now, Batgirl is yet to have an official release date.
