Laurence Fishburne was the face of Perry White in the DCEU, but next week he will be moving over to Marvel to play Bill Foster for Ant-Man and the Wasp. As it turns out, FIshburne actually wanted to play someone else for Marvel, and he hopes that they give him a chance to do the character—should they acquire the rights to Fantastic Four that is.
Talking during the Ant-Man and the Wasp premiere, Fishburne told ComicBook:
“Well, you know this is not my first time in the MCU: I was actually the voice of the Silver Surfer. And if they ever go back to that again – if it was a villain – I would love to do Galactus.”

While I would love for Fishburne to play the face of Galactus as well, I think at best he would be the one providing the voice and motion capture for the character should they bring him to the big screen. A lot of people were disappointed in Rise of the Silver Surfer when Galactus was just a planet-eating cloud, but with the introduction of celestials in the MCU, I think they could work in an actual giant being that eats planets.
For now, we don’t know exactly how big Bill Foster’s role in Ant-Man and the Wasp is. I would love to see him suit up as Goliath though and fight alongside Giant-Man; maybe we can even have a flashback where he’s working together with a young Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne.
Catch Ant-Man and the Wasp in theaters July 5.
