CD Projekt Red may have taken a while to get fans back on their side with Cyberpunk 2077, and now they’re gearing up for the launch of a massive DLC with Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. The expansion is set to launch in September, and we have a new trailer showcasing all the new things coming with it.
Watch this:
With the expansion, players are thrust into a new area in Night City called Dogtown, and it will come with all kinds of new dangers and factions. Speaking of factions, the government in this lore is finally revealing their face with the NUSA President, and it will be up to V to navigate a new authority.
The new setting also comes with all kinds of new guns and vehicles, but the trailer also highlights some changes in gameplay including updated skill trees and progression. Vehicular combat has also been added, and the game also promises a more formidable police force—nothing a seasoned Cyberpunk can’t handle.
Here’s the official description for the expansion:
Phantom Liberty is an upcoming spy-thriller expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Return as cyber-enhanced mercenary V and embark on a high-stakes mission of espionage and intrigue to save the NUSA President. In the dangerous district of Dogtown, you must forge alliances within a web of shattered loyalties and sinister political machinations. Do you have what it takes to survive?
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty launches for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on Sept. 26.
