It looks like some rumors are coming true for Captain America: Brave New World.
We know that the movie has been getting constant rewrites and reshoots, but one rumored plot point for the film is the discovery of the invulnerable metal Adamantium which is said to be located in the island of Tiamut.
Just in, a new look at the movie has been dropped, and it confirms that Adamantium has become a highly coveted resource—almost the same as how the MCU treats Vibranium. Check this out:
Admittedly, this is more generically action-heavy compared to previous versions of the film, but it also does give a tease for Staniel Stern a.k.a. The Leader (Tim Blake Nelson) who seems to have half of his head enlarged thanks to his encounter with Bruce Banner in The Incredible Hulk.
He’s been missing in the universe since 2008, but a lot of people think that his emergence as the secret puppetmaster of the government could be an interesting take on Hulk villain The Leader. Who knows, maybe President Ross is just a victim in all of this when he ends up being turned into the Red Hulk.
Like a lot of fans, I’m admittedly very worried about Brave New World. Though I believe they started with a solid story, the constant reshoots and rewrites after poor test screenings may have resulted in a by-the-numbers film that barely represents the story they originally wanted to tell.
I’m still hoping Sam Wilson’s Captain America debut is a success, but as of now, fans are worried that Marvel is going to mess this one up—especially with all the hype surrounding the project.
Catch Captain America: Brave New World when it comes to cinemas on Feb. 14.
