We know that Kingpin a.k.a. Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onfrio) is going to be appearing in the Echo series, but fans are ready for him to take center stage as the main antagonist of Daredevil: Born Again. As rumor has it though, Fisk won’t be the main baddie of Daredevil’s first MCU-based series.
According to insider Daniel Richtman (via @HollywoodHandle), the main villain of Daredevil: Born Again won’t be Kingpin. Instead, it is said to be Muse a villain created back in 2016 who had also clashed with Daredevil.

Dubbed as a ‘serial killer Banksy’ by comic-readers, Muse was a serial killer that is straight out of a Hannibal episode. His entire schtick is that he creates all kinds of art, but to do so, he has to use human blood and organs—all coming from his random victims.
Muse is also said to have superhuman speed and strength. Some think that this is because he is a mutant or inhuman, but I could very well see him not having powers at all if he’s someone that goes up against a street-level hero like Daredevil.
Since the relationship with Daredevil and Kingpin is still very central to the characters, I still expect that to be deeply explored in the series; but it’s possible that the clash with Muse could be the overarching story of the entire first season. Who knows, maybe we can watch DD catch him mid-way and watch some court drama for the next few episodes?
Then again, this is all just a rumor for now. Until Disney give us an official reveal, we’ll just have to wait and see.
For now, Daredevil: Born Again is undergoing a major overhaul, and is expected to premiere January 2025. In the meantime, you can catch DD and Kingpin in Echo which premieres on Disney+ on Jan. 9.
