For a while it seemed like Jonathan Majors was on his way to the top, but after a very public assault conviction, everything just came crashing down on him. With him being the lead in the upcoming Magazine Dreams, a lot have been asking if Majors is set for a comeback—and it looks like he already has one ally on his side of the ring.
In a recent talk with GQ, Majors’ Creed co-star Michael B. Jordan talked about how it was a ‘tough situation’ to watch Majors’ career suddenly take a turn. Even if that was the case, Jordan says, “But he’s doing great, just got engaged. I’m proud of his resilience and his strength through it all, and [his] handling [of] it. I’m glad he’s good. That’s my boy.” When asked if he would work with Majors again down the line, Jordan says, “Yes. YES.”
Majors was pretty much at the top of his game by the start of 2023, but toward the end, he was convicted of assaulting his ex-girlfriend in December of that year—leading him to be dropped by Marvel as their next big bad Avengers villain, Kang the Conqueror.
Now there are rumors going around that Marvel wants to bring Majors back for one more take on Kang just to close his story, but it’s unclear if any of this is true yet. As someone who was on the side of recasting, I just want the story to be done properly after all these years of build-up.
Catch Jordan in Sinners which comes out April 17; Majors, on the other hand, stars in Magazine Dreams which hits theaters March 21.
