Jared Leto is on the Hunt in a New Trailer for Morbius

After the release of Venom: Let There be Carnage, Sony is now ready to promote their next Spider-Verse film besides Spider-Man: No Way Home. Morbius is set to come out in January, and we have a new trailer for the film starring the one and only Jared Leto.

Watch the trailer for Morbius down here:

One of Marvel’s most compelling and conflicted characters comes to the big screen as Oscar® winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero, Michael Morbius. Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder, and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. What at first appears to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed and transforms this healer into a hunter.

While we had gotten our first way back in 2020, this trailer actually gives us a better feel of the film. We get some more personality and humor from Michael Morbius, besides more shots of his vampire form. Besides that, we also get a breakdown of his powers and how they’ll look in the movie.

With Sony moving forward with their connections to the MCU, the trailer is also filled with Easter Eggs. Besides Morbius’ joke about Venom, we also get a shot of an issue of the Daily Bugle. While Marvel may have had SHIELD to connect its films in the earlier phases, it’s the Bugle that’s going to be uniting these worlds of “Sony’s Universe of Marvel Characters.”

Though some are still waiting for Leto’s official return as Joker, I guess Morbius is going to be his main comic book project for now. Either way, the film doesn’t look bad, and it seems like something that the Venom audience can enjoy.

Originally set to come out in 2020, Morbius has been delayed multiple times thanks to the global pandemic. With some movies managing to make bank at the box office lately, it looks like Sony is finally going to stick to their latest slate of January 2022.

Catch Morbius when it hits theaters on Jan. 28, 2022.
