James Gunn’s Superman has Wrapped Filming

James Gunn’s Superman may not have been able to join the SDCC this year, but at least it’s progressing steadily. Just in, Gunn has shared that the movie has just finished another major milestone—production has official wrapped.

Check this out:

It’s not clear which location Gunn and his crew are shooting at, but where there’s snow, some are always going to guess that this is somewhere near the Fortress of Solitude. It also looks like the scene only involves David Corenswet’s Superman and Nicholas Hoult’s Lex Luthor.

This is just my guess, but I think the two could be shooting a scene where Clark Kent is covering Lex Luthor who is on some kind of research mission. Then again, there could be ten things that could be happening between the most iconic rivalry in pop-culture, but my money is still on the snow area being the place for Superman’s alien Fortress base.

Maybe Lex is researching the mysterious Superman, and Clark volunteers to escort him with the actual intention to keep him off his scent? I’m just spitballin’.

With a release set for next July, some think that Superman is going to be showing its first teaser sometime early 2025. With production having wrapped though, there could be a chance that DC drops some kind of teaser later within the year. I’m guessing around October to time it with previous DC FanDomes or sometime around December to keep hype for the holidays.

For now, Superman is set to release in theatres on July 11, 2025.
