Director: No official announcement has been made as of yet. However, Kingsman: The Secret Service director, Matthew Vaughn, is reportedly at the top of the studio’s list.

Cast: Henry Cavill (Clark Kent/Superman), maybe Amy Adams (Lois Lane), and probably Diane Lane (Martha Kent). In some form or fashion, Kevin Costner (Jonathan Kent) is likely to show up.
Story: Official details are being kept quiet, but there are rumors galore.
Rumor and Speculation: Rumors as old as last summer suggest the sequel’s main baddie will be none other than Braniac. In it, the villain’s massive collection of worlds will feature, one of which is to reportedly include something involving Thanagar. Additionally, more stories of Krypton are to hit the screen with General Zod’s former heroism rumored to take precedent. Another secondary plot is said to revolve around the Lane family, which is to debut General Lane and potentially set him up as a future antagonist.
Recent speculation indicates Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam will received his DCEU introduction in Man of Steel 2. According to rumor, he will actually be the sequel’s main villain. Perhaps he and Braniac are duking it out to gain favor with the film universe’s architects… That’s a versus match we wouldn’t mind seeing unfold. And make no mistake, Dwayne Johnson and Henry Cavill have been sure to stir the pot. The two took a photo together this past Christmas and attached was a series of hashtags, one of which read “#DCWorldsWillCollide.”
