With the home release of Solo: A Star Wars Story comes a few deleted scenes, and one of them sees more of Han’s days as a soldier for the Empire. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we have a look at Han crashing a TIE and getting commissioned to fight in Mimban.

Check it out:

While it’s great to see Han in more Imperial garb, I’m kind of disappointed that we don’t get a good look at Legends characters Tag and Bink who were supposed to appear in this scene. Writer Jon Kasdan had said that the duo would be there to escort Han after his sentence, and he was just disappointed to see that the scene was eventually cut.

I’m annoyed Tag and Bink were cut from the deleted scene clip as well.

This is probably one of the scenes that I wish they kept because not only does it give us more background on Han’s moral compass, but it also proves to us that he has skill as a pilot. Before he takes over the Falcon, the only thing we’ve seen him fly is the AT-AT hauler; having him pilot a TIE would have made Han a more believable flyboy—plus it also adds to his dislike for the Empire.

Solo: A Star Wars Story hits digital Sept. 14.
