While everyone is busy getting hyped for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier this March, Marvel Studios is hard at work with several other shows, one of which is the spinoff focused on Hawkeye. Hailee Steinfeld has been cast as Clint Barton’s protégé Kate Bishop, and Steinfeld has shared a new image of herself on the set.

While we don’t really get a full look at Steinfeld in the outfit, we do have a tease for Kate Bishop’s quiver —which looks to be low-tech compared to Hawkeye’s—plus her superhero garb. There have been set photos of the full outfit going around online, but some speculate that this one isn’t going to be the ‘final’ look when it comes to the series.
For now, the overall plot of Hawkeye has not been revealed, but some guess that it will deal with Clint finding someone to take up the Hawkeye mantle. Some set photos have shown Clint sporting a hearing aid, and some suspect that this could be a hint that Clint is starting to lose his hearing, and that’s why he’s decided to find someone to take over for him as an Avenger.
Set videos have also revealed a Christmas setting for the show, and that’s probably confirmation that we could get a winter release for the series; granted that COVID-19 doesn’t lead to any further delays moving forward.
No release date has been set for Hawkeye, but the series is expected to debut on Disney+ sometime later this year. In the meantime, you can get your MCU fix with WandaVision which is nearing the end of its run.
