Gen V 2 Teases Production Start Ahead of The Boys Finale

The Boys is set to conclude its fourth season this week, but Vought International is making sure you don’t forget that they have more incoming projects based in the same universe.

Just in, a new post from the official Gen V page seems to confirm that production has started for the second season. Check this out:

Production for Gen V was supposed to start earlier in the year, but they caught a major snag when it was reported that actor Chance Perdomo was lost in a motorcycle accident.

It’s unclear where the series is going to take the character of Andre Anderson moving forward, but it has been confirmed by the showrunners that they won’t be recasting. It’s likely that the series will be going the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever route and will incorporate Perdomo’s death into the story.

Some are speculating that Andre was supposed to be killed off anyway, and that’s why they decided to just write the character off compared to just recasting; but that’s just speculation.

With The Boys having only one more season left, Gen V is expected to keep flying the Vought flag until it eventually ends. It is rumoured that there are more spinoffs being planned for the IP, but we’ll just have to wait and see what showrunner Eric Kripke and producer Seth Rogen have in store.

No release date has been announced for the second season of Gen V, but you can catch the complete first season now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
