Just in, Star Wars has dropped a first look at Star Wars: Zero Company. Check this out:
The official description reads:
It’s your turn to take command during the Clone Wars.
Here’s your exclusive first look at Star Wars Zero Company: https://t.co/xcKhTW3ioA pic.twitter.com/EuGjUEJJLo
— Star Wars (@starwars) April 14, 2025
“Recruit an unconventional team of operatives and deploy them on missions unlike any other in the galaxy far, far away in Star Wars Zero Company!”
Take note, the characters revealed in the post is just a few of many ‘elite warriors’ and we should expect more Star Wars archetypes to show up from bounty hunters to Jedi. Maybe they’ll even bring in some fan-favorites like Anakin Skywalker or Jango Fett.
Admittedly, Star Wars has been on a slump when it comes to their variety of games. Sure there have been remasters of classic titles, but at least Zero Company is a completely original title compared to just being a modernized version of Empire at War.
Personally, I am kind of peeved that this game still takes place during the Clone Wars, but I am hopeful that future expansions or DLC will give us some more Sequel era content because the First Order and Resistance need some more stories if they’re ever going to cultivate a loyal fanbase.
Hopefully once the ST kids grow up we can start revisiting the Rey Skywalker era.
Expect more to be revealed about Star Wars: Zero Company at SW Celebration on April 19.
]]>Carpenter has recently teamed up with Epic for a collab that makes her a playable character, and the funny thing is, people have been coming together online to make mobs of Sabrina Carpenters dancing Espresso at each other. Check this out:

What’s fun is that players can combine their emotes, and dances, so there could be small pockets of Sabrina Carpenter bands that would form in the middle of the game—god forgive any poor Hatsune Miku player that thinks they can play a part in it.

So far there are two specific Sabrina Carpenter skins in the game, and players can switch out the colors to match something more of their style. There are also emotes for three of her songs including Espresso, Taste, and Please Please Please.
We don’t know how long people will be having fun with this meme of the week, but it does feel a lot like the second coming of the Ugandan Knuckles meme—only not as racist.
Fingers crossed we get some cosmetics for Billie Eilish and Chappell Roan to really complete the modern popstar girl trio.
If you want to get in on the Carpenter craze, you can check out the full details of her bundle here.
Sabrina Carpenter will only be available until June 1. Fortnite is now playable for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, Nintendo Switch, and mobile.

Here’s the official description for the season launch:
It’s the most glamorous night of the year, darling – Emma Frost herself invites you to the Hellfire Gala on Krakoa! Once a year, this sovereign Mutant island opens its gates, welcoming both friend and rival alike to shape a brighter future. Now stranded in the year 2099 by a raging temporal storm, the fate of Krakoa hangs in the balance, its ecosystem suffering from dangerous chronal energy.
Can a night of glittering festivities bring unity over fine dining and dazzling conversation? Who among the attendees possesses ulterior motives or solely seeks to party? And who is the uninvited guest?
Dress your best, step through the gates, and join us for an unforgettable evening of elegance, intrigue, and power.
While no official skills breakdown has been made for Emma Frost, rumor has it that she’s going to be a tank; and her design kind of evokes her being pretty sturdy seeing that the devs gave her massive thighs.
As for Ultron, he’s been teased for a while now, and it’s been revealed that he’s going to be a Strategist in the game, making use of multiple drones to help heal and attack.
Though it may not be the X-Mansion, Krakoa is still a pretty neat location in the Marvel Universe, and should merit its own map. We don’t know when NetEase is going to reveal more for the upcoming season, but we’ll likely have a good look at all the incoming content once it launches in the next few days.
Season 2 for Marvel Rivals starts on April 11. The game is now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
]]>According to The Nine Club podcast (via VGC), it’s been revealed that Margera was going to be appearing in the game after all. The show’s co-host Roger Bagley explained:
“Well, here’s what happened… The game was already done. Tony called up Activision and was like ‘hey, we’re putting Bam in the thing’, and they were like ‘hey, we can’t’.
“He goes ‘no, you’re gonna do it’, and basically made them fly Bam back out there to get body-scanned and everything else, and get him back in the game.”
Margera and Hawk had been friends for a while via their pro skater status, and Margera had been a regular fixture in the games since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3. Though he had only been a side character for most of it, his Jackass and Viva La Bam fame had led to him being one of the co-leads for Tony Hawk’s Underground 2 with the World Destruction Tour campaign.
Though Margera had seen quite the fall ever since he was fired from Jackass Forever, it does seem like he’s been cleaning himself up lately, and he’s also been sharing some videos with Hawk of him skateboarding again.
Margera’s glory days may be over, but it’s nice that Hawk can still help out a friend who is on his way to recovery.
Watch out for Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 when it launches for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 4|5 on July 11.

Though no deal has been made, artist @jaeon009 has shared some mock-ups online, and they may as well get paid by NetEase for these because they look marvellous. Check these out:

The list of characters include:
The last mainline entry in the MvC franchise, MvC: Infinite, came out in 2017 and was considered a moderate entry at best. With a lot of time since that release though, Marvel vs. Capcom is primed for a comeback, and the successful release of the collection recently is supposed to give an idea of how popular MvC still is when it comes to the gaming community.
Going back to Marvel Rivals though, it’s still unclear what the devs have planned for the future after Season 1, but a collab with Capcom could definitely work. Heck, it can fill up a whole season if they really wanted to.
Marvel Rivals is now available for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
]]>Mortal Kombat II has just given a look at Johnny Cage, Kitana, Shao Khan, and Scorpion; and the great news is, those skins are coming to the Mortal Kombat 1 game as well. Here’s the movie look:
and here’s how they’ll look in the game:
While Johnny Cage, Kitana, and Shao Khan will be new characters introduced in the movie, Scorpion looks to be sporting his same outfit from the first game. It’s unclear how Scorpion will be making a return, but it’s said that some characters that died in the first movie are somehow going to be making it back for the sequel like Kung Lao, Kano, and Sub-Zero—who will probably become Noob Saibot if they want to follow the lore.
I’ll admit, there were some questionable decisions done with the MK reboot (like the ‘arcane’ explanation for powers), but the movie does a lot of great things as well—especially when it comes to the visualization of everyone’s powers and the fantastic fight scenes.
We don’t know if MKII will be able to improve on the sequel this time around, but I am hoping that it manages to lay down the ground work for future movies. Fingers crossed we get to Tilda Swinton Kronika in a few years.
Mortal Kombat II is set to come out in theaters on Oct. 24. Mortal Kombat 1 is now playable for Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
]]>Talking to director Alex Garland on Creator to Creator, Druckmann jokes about how the backlash for The Last of Us Part II led to him picking the theme for the next game. Druckmann explains:
“It’s funny, it’s like I joke about this with a team like, ‘Oh, we made a game—with The Last of Us II we made certain creative decisions that got us a lot of hate—a lot of people love it, but a lot of people hate that game.’
“The joke is like, ‘You know what, let’s do something that people won’t care as much about. Let’s make a game about faith and religion.”
In the game, protagonist Jordan (Tati Gabrielle) will find herself stuck on a planet in search of a bounty, but she’s going to discover that there’s this weird religion that was central to the planet and its inhabitants. Druckmann continues:
“This new religion becomes pretty prominent. And then we spend years just building out this religion like from the original Prophet, all the way how it gets like changed and sometimes bastardized and evolves over all these years, and then like all these people… and this whole religion takes place on this one planet and then at one point, all communication stops from this planet. And you’re playing a bounty hunter that’s chasing her bounty and she crash lands on this planet.”
Besides Faith and Religion, Druckmann also says the game is going to focus on Loneliness, which he came up with when he realized that a lot of the ND games are about having allies and companions. Even Jak had a talking Daxter on his shoulder even if he was the only one doing the action.
Druckmann is said to want to make players feel lonely when it comes to Intergalactic, and seeing as how he weaponized empathy in his last game, I’m excited to see just how much he’s going to manipulate everyone again to make them feel more alone.
You think Death Stranding has anything to do with it?
No release date has been set for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, but fans are hoping for a release on the PS5 sometime later this year.
]]>In a talk with director Alex Garland for Creator on Creator, Druckmann says that he could see a game based on Garland’s movie Civil War. Druckmann explains:
“… That feeling when I saw Civil War. That’s another one where I saw that and I’m like, ‘This will make an amazing game.’ Just the mechanics of being a photographer and going like across the country and heading into danger, but there’s something familiar and yet very unfamiliar about that journey.”
For context, Civil War follows the story of photographers (played by Cailee Spaeny and Kirsten Dunst) as they go on a cross-country trip documenting the war-torn United States. This alternate reality imagines an America divided and president Nick Offerman (who was also in The Last of Us) has seized absolute control.
Interestingly enough, there are a lot of common elements in the movie that could be applied to a game similar to The Last of Us. Not only is it a familiar setting with an unfamiliar twist, but the cross-country element with the different factions do feel like it be altered for a game-based narrative.
Admittedly, the world of Civil War isn’t as heavily fleshed and there would be a lot of room for a developer to fill in the blanks. Druckmann may not be able to work on it, but hopefully some developer would be willing to pick it up.
I guess I just miss video game tie-ins for movies.
A Civil War game isn’t officially happening, but Druckmann’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is expected to launch for the PlayStation 5 sometime soon.

https://twitter.com/PlayOverwatch/status/1899136817154142437
Last year, the collab with LE SERRAFIM had delivered new skins for Kiriko, Tracer, Brigitte, D. Va, and Sombra. It also included a new game mode called The Concert Clash.
For this second collab though, it looks like there won’t be a new game mode, but that’s because Blizzard is going to be focusing more on the big changes to the core game. This time, they’re only promoting the new skins (plus a recolor of skins from the old collab).
Though Marvel Rivals can only milk their big IP for content, Overwatch has been finding some interesting team-ups with brands like Avatar: The Last Airbender, My Hero Academia, and Cowboy Bebop. Who knows what else they’ll come up with down the line?
I think it would be fun if they managed to do a collab with DC to really rub it into Marvel Rivals’ face, but for now all we can really do is wait. That being said, how easy would it be to make a Joker/Junkrat skin? How about a Supergirl Illari or Reaper Batman?
The Overwatch x LE SERRAFIM collab launches on March 18. OW2 is now playable for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4|5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.

As always, the story still seems to be pretty confusing, but the ‘vibes’ of a Kojima game are ever-present with all the unique creature designs, and militaristic sci-fi.
A new trend that’s also emerging with Kojima is his penchant for celebrity guest stars. With the new trailer, we get to see a cameo from action star Ma Dong-seok. Other new cast members confirmed for the game are Alissa Jung as well as Luca Marinelli who could be filling in the role for Mads Mikkelsen’s villain character from the first game.
Admittedly, Death Stranding had a divisive reception when it first came out; being dubbed a very fancy walking simulator. But any fan of Kojima’s (as well as the critics) have nothing but praise for the game, and commend Kojima on his unique approach when it comes to game design.
Will Death Stranding 2 manage to surprise fans again? After years of development, everyone surely hopes so. Either way, the visuals do look fantastic, and Kojima has a lot of trust from his audiences to deliver a surreal and visually stunning experience.
Watch out for Death Stranding 2: on the Beach when it launches on June 26.
]]>Talking to Variety, Druckmann was asked about Part III to which he said, “I was waiting for this question… I guess the only thing I would say is don’t bet on there being more of Last of Us. This could be it.”
It’s kind of odd that Druckmann would have a change in tune when it comes to Part III, seeing that he had been teasing a third game for the past few years since Part II had released. In Grounded II: The Making of The Last of Us Part II docu, Druckmann said:
“I don’t have a story, but I do have that concept that, to me, is as exciting as 1, as exciting as 2, is its own thing, yet has this through line for all three… So it does feel like there’s probably one more chapter to this story.”
Even the HBO series, which Druckmann has direct involvement in, it’s speculated that they could go for four seasons—meaning that the series has plans to continue the story after the events of Part II. Of course, we don’t know what happens at that point, but the franchise does seem like it has more of Ellie’s story to tell, seeing that there’s still a lot of loose plotlines from the second game.
For now, ND is gearing up for the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet which comes out for the PlayStation 5 sometime in the next few years.
]]>While everyone is scrambling to find out who’s to blame for the recent WB Games closures, insider Jason Schreier told Kinda Funny Games Daily (via @Okami13_) that the devs were kind of put in an ‘impossible situation’. Here are the bullet points:
Details on the Wonder Woman cancellation and closure of Monolith Productions:
Wonder Woman was going to have a "Nemesis system in reverse" where you would talk to people and befriend them as allies. This was eventually scrapped when it was rebooted.
WW began production in… pic.twitter.com/EWQEZzh9MV
— KAMI (@Okami13_) February 27, 2025
As it turns out, the problem started when the game was rebooted back in 2023. The game had shifted from a Nemesis System-type game to a more traditional action-adventure title and Monolith’s leads had decided to leave the studio after WB refused to have them work on an original IP.
So this means that Monolith was trying to make Wonder Woman while at the same time trying to figure out their new leadership. Top that off with some poor returns from last year with MultiVersus and Suicide Squad, and WB decided that they should just axe the studio.
Funnily enough, Schreier does emphasize that WB Discovery president David Zaslav has nothing to do with this problem and it was more about the recently exited WB Games head David Haddad not really open to developing risky projects and focusing more on trend-chasing.
With Haddad out, it’s not clear where WB Games is headed, but fans are definitely hopeful whoever takes over will have much better insight when it comes to developing projects based on WB’s highly valuable IP.
]]>Plans were eventually cancelled for TLOU Online, but as it turns out, the studio did want to make the game, but they had to sacrifice it in order to make their new IP, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.
This was confirmed by former PlayStation executive Shuhei Yoshida who told Sacred Symbols+ (via PushSquare):
“The idea for The Last of Us Online came from Naughty Dog and they really wanted to make it… But [Destiny developer Bungie] explained [to them] what it takes to make live service games, and Naughty Dog realised, ‘Oops, we can’t do that! If we do it, we can’t make Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet.’ So that was a lack of foresight.”
If anything Yoshida said that he had played the game, and ‘it was great.’ We don’t know exactly what would have been in TLOU Online, but fans were expecting an upgraded version of Factions where players would get put in matches, and each playable character had abilities that were a breakdown of Ellie’s and Abby’s from The Last of Us Part II.
Though live service games were profitable back then, it does seem like the concept is starting to sour. While Overwatch and Fortnite were able to thrive with live-service, titles like MultiVersus and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League just lost massive amounts of money.
It’s kind of wild how Marvel Rivals was able to push through it all.
For now, Naughty Dog is looking forward to the release of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet which releases for PS5 sometime later this year.
]]>According to a rumor from Lunatic Ignus (via ComicBook), Rocksteady is allegedly working on a Batman game which will be set in the world of Batman Beyond. What’s more, it’s allegedly going to be a PlayStation exclusive—possibly coming out around the time of the PS6.
For context, Batman Beyond was an animated series that came out in 1999 and told the story of the next Batman after Bruce Wayne, Terry McGinnis. The story takes place in Neo-Gotham, after Bruce Wayne becomes too old to be the Batman. He runs into Terry who steals his futuristic batsuit, and from that point, Terry becomes the new Dark Knight with an older Bruce Wayne being his ‘guy in the chair’.
The series has been lauded for trying to do everything different with the Batman mythos, like giving Terry a family and giving him all kinds of futuristic gadgets. While he does have a run-in with classic Batman villains like Joker, Terry does come with his own rogues gallery, and not all of them are based on someone that Batman’s fought before.
If anything, Rocksteady can very easily start a new trilogy with the Batman Beyond timeline. They can just update their map of Gotham and change the Batmobile so it can fly around rather than just shift from car to tank. They also have the chance to add more tricks to Terry’s kit like invisibility.
With Terry also having run-ins with the Justice League, maybe they can add those characters down the line as well. Do what they wanted to do with Suicide Squad before it was made to pivot into a live-service model.
Then again, this is just a rumor for now, but hopefully we get an official update soon.
]]>Check them out here:
Johnny is a duelist in the game, and like Iron Man, focuses mainly on being a flighty hero, zipping around and throwing fire at enemies. What’s neat is that he also has a team-up with Storm where they can combine their attacks and make a fiery hurricane with added damage that can even destroy environments.
As for Ben, he’s a vanguard of the team, and while he’s not as mobile as the Hulk, he does make up for it for being literally solid as a rock; having a passive that doesn’t allow anyone to displace him from where he is. His melee attacks also seem to come out pretty fast, and his big health makes him very hard to kill.
It’s worth noting that the Fantastic Four also have a team-up with the Invisible Woman that allows for them to gain bonus health as long as they’re in the same team. Even with just four, they already make a well-balanced team with two duelists, a strategist, and a vanguard.
Hopefully players will find out who the optimal teammates for the Fantastic Four will be down the line.
Ben and Johnny come to Marvel Rivals on Feb. 21. Marvel Rivals is now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
]]>According to a Reddit user, u/Ajxtt the book The Art of Assassin’s Creed Shadows was posted on E-Hentai. 200+ pages were said to have been uploaded and it featured concept art for major locations as well as some supporting characters.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows art book leaked on hentai website
byu/Ajxtt inGamingLeaksAndRumours
The book has confirmed that historical figures like Kamiizumi Nobutsuna and Ashikaga Yoshiaki would be appearing in the game, and the Portugese Templars are said to be after the Imperial Regalia of Japan—which is said to be the mythical pieces of Eden.
The post has since been taken down, but it’s kind of silly that it should be uploaded on a hentai site of all places.
For now, Shadows is expected to shake up the Assassin’s Creed formula by introducing two playable characters that players can switch between. One character is the legendary black Samurai Yasuke who is said to be a master fighter who can take enemies head on; the other character is a new one called Naoe who is connected to the assassin brotherhood and specializes in stealth and acrobatics.
With Ghost of Yotei still taking its time to release, Shadows should be a nice visual trip to the land of Feudal Japan. Fingers crossed people will actually get to complete this game.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows is set to release on March 20 for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.
]]>According to insider Daniel Richtman (via @cosmic_marvel), a new Avengers game is in development, and what’s more, it won’t be connected to Crystal Dynamics Avengers game. No further details have been revealed about the title, but it does seem like Marvel Games already has a lot to learn from based on their recent releases.
If I were to make a guess on what kind of game this is going to be, it’s possible that they’re going to be ditching the live service model—since Marvel Rivals already has that covered. If anything, this could be a narrative-focused game, not unlike Crystal Dynamics’ Guardians of the Galaxy game.
GOTG may not have done well when it released 2021, but a lot of people blame that for the bad press of Marvel’s Avengers. A lot of people who have played the game have nothing but great things to say about it, and people have been saying that GOTG was the game that Avengers should have been striving for; but just like with Suicide Squad, it looked like Square Enix wanted to chase that golden goose, and it ended up biting them in the ass.
No official announcement has been made for an Avengers game, but it could be very possible that something is cooking behind-the-scenes at Marvel Games.
]]>Check out some of his gameplay on Mortal Kombat:
Take note, Floyd is only a secret boss character and is not actually playable. Any footage of him being playable is only done by PC gamers through mods.
The introduction of Floyd in MK1 is essentially a callback to one of the OG video game easter eggs in the original Mortal Kombat. Before, players would get hints from a green PSN named Reptile who would challenge players to find him in-game; and following the clues leads to a boss fight.
For Floyd, there are several challenges that players have to complete to be able to get a fight with Floyd, and after defeating him, they’ll be able to unlock his stage as well as color swaps for the kameos of Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
Take note, the challenges are said to vary for every player, and it does look like there are only a limited number of challenges players can do per day. No definitive list has been made to unlock the fight with Floyd, but the fans are definitely charged up and are gathering all the information they can. It’s like the old days of Mortal Kombat again.
Mortal Kombat 1 is now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5, and Nintendo Switch.
]]>Season 1 belongs to the Fantastic Four, but a recent leak has confirmed some incoming X-Men fan favourites that should delight fans. According to @X0X_LEAK on Twitter:
Upcoming Characters
Gambit – Duelist
Rogue – Strategist
Jubilee – Unknown pic.twitter.com/ZNxRPohL7X— X0XLEAK (@X0X_LEAK) January 22, 2025
The same leaker also confirms that Nightcrawler is also coming to the game as a Duelist as well as Beast—but it’s not yet clear on what kind of role he’s going to play in the game (possibly a mobile tank).
So far, the current playable X-Men in the game include Storm, Magik, Wolverine, Magneto, and Psylocke. Namor is also a mutant, but he’s really just more affiliated with his own kingdom than the X-Men.
Other leaked X-Men characters that fans have yet to get a look at include Emma Frost, Jean Grey, Cyclops, Professor X, Colossus, and Deadpool. That’s not even mentioning the rest of the leaked characters including MODOK, Hit-Monkey, Blade, and Paste Pot Pete—just to name a few.
It’s not clear when NetEase plans to release these heroes, but they have said that they plan to release a new playable hero every 1.5 months. With that in mind, they probably have a couple of years of incoming content to work on; hopefully they manage to keep the game’s quality up with all the heroes expected to come in.
Then again, even League of Legends has managed to amass over 150 playable characters, and they seem to be doing fine.
Marvel Rivals is now playable for Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC.

Just like Overwatch does with the Lunar New Year, Marvel Rivals is also bringing in a new game mode, and it’s definitely NOT Lucio Ball. Check this out:
“May the golden lion’s mane guide your fortune and bring you strength this season. Join the celebration now and let the magic of the Spring Festival unfold!”
As fans have pointed out, the new game mode Clash of Dancing Lions looks just like Overwatch’s limited game mode, but there are some specific differences. Instead of playing an entire team of just one character, Dancing Lions has players pick between three people in a team; them being Black Widow, Iron Fist, and Star-Lord.
While Lucio himself is pretty mobile, the characters in Dancing Lions all have different mobile abilities like Widow and her sprint, Iron Fist and his Dragon Kick, and Star-Lord with his flight. The trick is having the players try to be a cohesive team with their different abilities—which makes it a tad more complicated than Lucio Ball.
The question is whether the rest of the player base will have fun with this mode. If anything, the skins look cool, and it should be a nice break from the usual matches.
The Spring Festival event launches for Marvel Rivals on Jan. 23. The game is now available for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and PS5.
