Ubisoft has made a reputation for itself releasing these massive open-world games, and now they have to deliver an entire universe with their upcoming title Star Wars Outlaws.
The game is set to launch this August, and we just got a new gameplay showcase which gives us 10 minutes of lawless smuggling in the Outer Rim. Check this out:
The clip essentially has us follow Kay as she jumps from one seedy location to another, showcasing traversal, space combat, and actual combat.
Besides going through highly populated, lush maps full of characters, we’re also expecting to have Kay in Star Wars Outlaws do the occasional sneaking around and hacking into objects; as well as the classic gunslinging that is very signature Star Wars.
With Star Wars Jedi giving the focus on the Force-using Cal Kestis, Outlaws promises to put the spotlight on the Han Solo-types of the universe, smuggling goods, drawing blasters, and making shady deals with dangerous folks.
As a huge fan of Solo: A Star Wars Story, I can’t to further delve into the world of the syndicates and see just how they act as a third faction in the battle between the Rebellion and the Empire.
Here’s the official description for Star Wars Outlaws:
Experience the first-ever open world Star Wars™ game, set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Explore distinct planets across the galaxy, both iconic and new. Risk it all as Kay Vess, an emerging scoundrel seeking freedom and the means to start a new life, along with her companion Nix. Fight, steal, and outwit your way through the galaxy’s crime syndicates as you join the galaxy’s most wanted.
Star Wars Outlaws is expected to launch Aug. 30 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
