The archeological action-adventure genre hasn’t really been hitting for a while, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t try to bring it back.
A new trailer has just dropped for Fountain of Youth starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman, and it honestly looks like a fun action-adventure. Check this out:

Fountain of Youth follows two estranged siblings (John Krasinski and Academy Award winner Natalie Portman) who partner on a global heist to find the mythological Fountain of Youth. They must use their knowledge of history to follow clues on an epic adventure that will change their lives … and possibly lead to immortality.
Besides Krasinski and Portman, the movie also includes Eiza Gonzalez and Domhnall Gleeson.
Just looking at the trailer, a lot of fans have been comparing the movie to the Uncharted franchise, but there are also hints of National Treasure, Indiana Jones, and The Mummy shenanigans. Some are even saying that Krasinski is in his ‘Brendan Fraser era’; we don’t know exactly what that means, but it could mean Krasinski is nabbing roles where he’s just a handsome, loveable action man.
Admittedly, the film looks fantastic, but Apple probably didn’t have too much confidence in it that’s why it’s going straight to streaming. Such a shame though because the movie looks like it’s going for all that action-adventure spectacle.
