DC Reveals First Look at David Corenswet Superman Suit

Henry Cavill is out, and David Corenswet is in. After months of teases of Corenswet’s new Superman suit, DC has finally given us our first look at his new outfit for the James Gunn reboot.

Check this image out:

The new ‘S’ has been revealed for a while, but this time we actually have a look at the full suit. The biggest difference we can notice from previous iterations of Superman is that the suit for Corenswet has a collar which harkens to more modern iterations of the Man of Steel in the comics.

A lot of fans have also pointed out that the suit looks a lot baggier than previous supersuits—even going so far to say that it kind of looks like the blue uniforms from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

And though you can’t really see it, it’s said that this Superman is confirmed to come with the classic red trunks. We don’t know exactly how that incorporates into the suit, but it will be the first time we have Superman in trunks again since Superman Returns came out back in 2006.

Of course, we also shouldn’t ignore the background, which features some kind of giant eye shooting out a laser on the city. Some speculate that this is the Eye of Ekron from the comics—which is literally just a giant eye, but it could be something else entirely. Regardless of who it is, the point of the scene looks to be giving us a kind of day-in-the-life scene with Superman dressing up when a huge monster is a foot.

We don’t know when the next reveal is going to be, but people have already started buzzing for the arrival of this new Corenswet Superman.

Superman is set to release in theaters on July 11, 2025.
