The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel had come out way back in 2017, and has since been one of the best-reviewed shows on Amazon Prime Video. All good things must end though, and the final season of the series has announced its premiere date.
Watch the teaser here:
We don’t really have a look as to what to expect this season, but we should suspect that Midge would further her name in stand-up, with the rest of her dysfunctional family all pursuing their own personal goals.
If you haven’t checked out the series before, right now is definitely the time to start. Not only is Rachel Brosnahan a fantastic lead, but the cast which includes Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Tony Shalhoub, Kevin Pollak, and more are definitely great as their own quirky characters.
Not to mention the series has a lot of fantastic dialogue and camera work, all an ode to musicals and 1950s pop culture. I wonder what creator Amy Sherman-Palladino does next.
Here’s the series synopsis:
It’s 1958 Manhattan and Miriam “Midge” Maisel has everything she’s ever wanted: the perfect husband, kids, and an Upper West Side apartment. But when her life suddenly takes a turn and Midge must start over, she discovers a previously unknown talent, one that will take her all the way from the comedy clubs of Greenwich Village to a spot on Johnny Carson’s couch.
The final season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel comes to Amazon Prime Video on April 14.
