Feige Teases Unexpected Characters in Doctor Strange 2

We know that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is set to come out in 2021, but besides the inclusion of Scarlet Witch, we don’t really have that much information. What’s interesting is, Marvel head Kevin Feige teases some incoming characters that will debut in the film.

Speaking during a panel at the New York Film Academy (via ComicBook), Feige says:

“The next Doctor Strange film, for instance, features some new MCU characters which will be making their debut in that movie you won’t expect or won’t guess who it is but we found a cool way to make it work because we want to make a particular type of movie there and there was a character who we always wanted to do something with who will fit really well there.”

We don’t know which characters Feige could be alluding to, but there have been rumors that came out months ago that we would be getting Brother Voodoo and Strange’s love interest Clea. We haven’t gotten any updates since then, but it is also heavily rumored that the main villain is going to be Nightmare, and he could be making his debut in the Disney+ series WandaVision.

Then again, these characters that I mentioned are pretty involved with the Doctor Strange lore, so you can say that their debuts would have been inevitable. If you’re talking unexpected, maybe it could be characters like Kamala Khan or She-Hulk. How about a return of a Marvel Netflix hero like Daredevil?

For now, Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness is set to come out May 5, 2021.
