A few days ago, The Flash director Andy Muschietti had revealed that Sahsa Calle will be playing the part of Supergirl in his upcoming film, and though we don’t have any official look at her in character yet, artist Datrinti has come up with a mock-up of what Calle could look like in the DCEU.

Breaking news from Director Andy Muschietti on Instagram:
Re-post: Andy Muschietti | Been doing a lot of flashbacks lately but today is about a Flash forward. #TheFlashMovie @SashaCalle pic.twitter.com/3vD3XP2rbd

So far, Calle is best known for her part as Lola Rosales in The Young and the Restless, and this looks to be her first big movie role. We don’t really know what Supergirl’s significance in The Flash would be, but it would be amazing to see how Muschietti plans to utilize the character, especially with the news that the movie will tackle a multiverse storyline. Will Kara be the main Kryptonian warrior in her Earth? What if she isn’t Kara, but the female version of Kal-El?
Admittedly, The Flash has still been undergoing some problems behind the scenes. Though the movie looked to have been moving forward with Muschietti at the helm, a clash between Cyborg actor Ray Fisher and WB executives has allegedly prompted for his character to be written out of the film—a problem since Cyborg was said to be integral to the story.
Hopefully WB can work things out with Fisher because I would love for him to return. While 2017’s Justice League was a mess, you can’t deny the chemistry between all the League members. Fingers crossed Fisher can still make a comeback.
The Flash is set to come out Nov. 4, 2022, but you can catch him (and Cyborg) in Zack Snyder’s Justice League which hits HBO Max on March 18.
