Dua Lipa is going to be playing her own version of Barbie in the upcoming Barbie movie, but besides that, she’s also going to be providing an original song in the soundtrack with Dance the Night.
We already got a hint of the song in the trailers, but now we also have the full music video with Lipa as the star. Check this out:
Movie soundtracks have definitely been making a comeback recently, what with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, and Lady Gaga providing an original song for Top Gun: Maverick. We don’t know if the Barbie soundtrack is going to be topping the charts, but based on the numbers that Dance the Night is already doing, I think it’s safe to think that the Barbie album is going to have its own string of hits.
At least we know it’s going to be listened to by more people compared to the Oppenheimer soundtrack.
Nothing but positivity has been showing up for Barbie online, and a lot of fans are hyped for Margot Robbie to be the iconic doll come to life. Besides Robbie though, the internet is also abuzz with Ryan Gosling’s Ken who looks to be a cultural reset for the cinematic ‘himbo’.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see for the movie to come out and see how everyone will take it.
