Probably one of the best pieces of casting in Star Wars was Donald Glover as young Lando Calrissian. Though we have no official news on Solo 2, word has it that Glover will be making his return as one of the galaxy’s ol’ smoothies.
As reported by Kessel Run Transmissions, Glover is said to be reprising the part of Lando for a Disney+ series. Here’s the report:

There are no details yet on the nature of Lando’s return, but some are already assuming that this will be his own Disney+ show. With Solo already teasing The Calrissian Chronicles, it would seem like a natural progression for the character. Then again, it’s possible that he could just be making cameos in upcoming series. Cassian Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi could very much feature a young Lando. How bummed would people be if this was just for a voice cameo in Star Wars: The Bad Batch?
While I personally would love to have a sequel to Solo announced instead, fans are taking this as good sign for this branch of the franchise. If anything, maybe there’s room for Alden Ehrenreich to reprise Han for this series as well. I would also love for Phoebe Waller-Bridge to make a return for L3-37 if she had the time. I mean, she’s probably as busy as Glover.
Glover’s return has not been officially announced by Lucasfilm, but hopefully we get an update soon. In the meantime, we wait for the return of The Mandalorian this October on Disney+.
