The High Evolutionary Appears in Deleted Scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania may have been a major stumble when it came to starting up Phase 5, but fans were onboard for James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. The film is arriving on digital this week, and we have some deleted scenes from the end featuring the High Evolutionary and Adam Warlock.

Check out the new scene from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 here:

Though it’s easy to forget the High Evolutionary’s status at the end of the movie, he’s actually saved by Drax, and is kept in prison on Knowhere. We don’t know why the scene was deleted, but it probably has something to do with Rocket already having his closure with HE earlier in the film’s climax. Having him be the one to lock him up is kind of a less emotional final moment between the two.

The second scene is a bit more fun, explaining the origin of how Adam got his Warlock name. We don’t really see him get to it, but we do have the exchange with Kraglin trying to convince Adam to give himself a more ‘badass’ surname.

It’s unclear what the future will hold for these two characters, but some think that there are going to be big plans for Adam in the future. Who knows, maybe Marvel will finally be ready to tug on that ‘Brother of Thanos’ thread that they planted in Eternals. Do people even remember that he’s played by Harry Styles?

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is now available on digital.
