Taika Waititi’s Thor: Ragnarok was all the rave back when it came out in November, but it seems that Deadpool’s Ryan Reynolds was late for the hype, and he just recently posted his praises for the film.
Check it out:
Late to the party on Thor: Ragnarok. I dislocated my face laughing. @TaikaWaititi is an international treasure. Protect his mind and body at all costs. @thorofficial

It’s also worth noting that Deadpool 2 has a cast member in the form of Julian Dennison who had worked with Waititi as the lead for his movie, Hunt for the Wilderpeople. In the film, it looks like Dennison will be playing a child with mutant powers—at least that’s what it looks like. You can’t get much from a split-second of screentime.
With Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox, CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that he wants to merge the X-Men and Fantastic Four with the MCU. He’s also confirmed that he wants more R-rated Deadpool movies. That sounds good and everything, but we should all just wait on how Marvel plans to write the mutants into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Personally, I’m all up for a rebooted X-Men/Fantastic Four, but they should keep Deadpool just the way it is. Ryan Reynolds had worked too hard to bring the character to the big screen, and he is just perfect for the role.
Deadpool 2 comes out June 1.
