He-Man Takes on Scare Glow in Clip from Masters of the Universe: Revolution

Netflix may have rebooted He-Man for kids with their 3D-animated version of the character, but they also have an alternate He-Man property that builds on the original cartoon from the 80s. Masters of the Universe: Revolution is set to premiere in 2024, and we have a new clip from the series with He-Man taking on Scare Glow.

Watch this:

The clip basically has Adam/He-Man and King Randor taking on Scare Glow, a villain we met back in MOTU: Revelation. We don’t exactly know the context of the scene, but we can definitely see the quality of the action animation, and it’s nothing short of spectacular.

Though the show is supposed to be a follow up of Revelation, it does look like some of the voice cast has been mixed up, particularly with Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) replacing Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) as Teela. The show did keep Chris Wood and Mark Hamill for He-Man and Skeletor.

When Revelation first came out, a lot of fans had review-bombed the series for being “woke” what with the death of He-Man and the refocusing of the story to Teela, but anyone who stuck around till the end can say that the series is definitely a great follow-up to the original cartoon and the treatment of the characters has definitely been interesting.

No specific release date has been set for Masters of the Universe: Revolution, but you can watch for it to premiere on Netflix sometime in 2024.
