It’s Worm-Ridin’ Time in First Trailer for Dune: Part Two

A lot of Dune fans breathed a sigh of relief when it was announced that Legendary was pushing forward with a sequel, and this November, we’re finally going to see Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two. Just in, we have our first trailer for the film, and it shows the rise of Paul Atreides as the Kwisatz Haderach.

Check this out:

With the first Dune ending with Paul and Jessica joining the Fremen, we get to see their assimilation into the tribe, with Paul finally being able to ride a sandworm. We also get a lot of scenes with Paul and Chani—the latter having only appeared in dream sequences and the final scene in the film.

The teaser also gives us a look at some new incoming characters, including Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh) who was actually the narrator of the books. We also have a look at the Harkonnen golden boy Feyd-Rautha who is played by Austin Butler; fans are kind of hoping he keeps the Elvis accent for the part.

The synopsis for the film reads:

“Dune: Part Two” will explore the mythic journey of Paul Atreides as he unites with Chani and the Fremen while on a warpath of revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family. Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the known universe, he endeavors to prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.

Dune: Part Two is set to release in theaters on Nov. 3.
