Marvel Rivals had been initially announced with a look at Iron Man, but the game was pretty sparing when it came to revealing the rest of the more popular Avengers. The game had just recently revealed its version of Thor, and a leak has given a possible look at Rivals’ version of Captain America.

As of now, people are still guessing what kind of kit Steve Rogers will have in the game, but it does look like the shield is going to function as a projectile that comes back pretty quickly. No doubt he’ll probably have moves where he rushes into people with the shield. They would also want to do something with his superhuman strength.
And though Steve may have used a gun during WWII, it’s unlikely that they’re going to give him something as a simple as a handgun for this game. Most likely he’ll have a lot of melee attacks like Thor does.
Just like Overwatch, fans are expecting the game to just keep adding characters. While there are some fan-favorites that are at the top of everyone’s list, Rivals has managed to surprise fans by adding some more obscure characters like Magik and Jeff the Land Shark.
Fingers crossed they bring in Gwenpool because she needs more mainstream love.
Marvel Rivals still has no release date, but the game is expected to launch for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S sometime this year.
