The fight for the Empire continues with the sequel to Fallen Order, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Thanks to The Game Awards hype, we have a new trailer for the game, and it showcases a lot of new gameplay as well as incoming characters for the highly-anticipated sequel.
Check this out:
Here’s the official description:
No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in – with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.
With the first game following Cal is he tries to re-discover his Jedi powers, it feels like the sequel is going to be adding more to his arsenal, both when it comes to the Force and his access to weapons. Based on the trailer, it looks like Cal will be getting access to a longer, cross guard saber, and though we don’t see him use the weapon in the trailer, he does have a gun strapped to his hip, and that should offer a change of pace when it comes to how he plays.
After the disappointing launch of Star Wars Battlefront II, a lot of fans were pleased with the release of Fallen Order when it came out back in 2019. Though the Sith are still powerful in this era, it looks like Cal will be going up against someone new this time around. Though some think he’s a Sith, I like to think that he’s some kind of Jedi from the High Republic that was put down before he could go rogue; at least that’s the theory.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is releasing exclusively for new-gen consoles PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on March 17, 2023.
