Star Wars Jedi’s Cal Kestis Making His Live-Action Debut Soon?

Star Wars Jedi’s Cal Kestis is a newer hero in the SW fandom, but fans have been wondering when he was going to make his live-action debut in the movies or series ever since Fallen Order came out. Now rumor has it that Cal may be making his way to live-action very soon.

This comes from insider Daniel RPK (via @cosmic_marvel) who reports that Cal Kestis (played by Cameron Monaghan) is going to be appearing in a Disney+ Star Wars project. No specific details have been revealed about where Cal could show up, but with the series currently stuck at the Original Trilogy timeline, it could be a good guess that Cal show’s up in Ahsoka Season 2. Then again, his smuggler connections could mean that he could have a role in Andor, after all, he does join the fight in the middle of the Galactic Civil War.

For the none video game players, Cal Kestis is the protagonist of the Star Wars Jedi games. He was a Jedi padawan during the time of the Clone Wars, and he managed to escape with his life during the Purge (i.e., Order 66). When we first meet Cal, he’s a nobody scrapper, but throughout the games, he re-learns his Jedi training and eventually joins the fight against the Empire.

So far, the Jedi games, Fallen Order and Survivor, have been critical hits, and Respawn Entertainment is expected to make one more game to close out Cal’s backstory. We don’t know what the state of development is yet for that game, but having Cal appear in live-action could be a great way to expand on his lore. I wouldn’t even mind if he just shows up for one episode of a series.

For now, Cal Kestis live-action appearance hasn’t been announced. The next SW show, Skeleton Crew releases on Disney+ this Dec. 3.
