Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker ended with Finn not being able to reveal some kind of big secret he had to tell Rey the whole movie, and while we never got any of that, John Boyega reveals there was actually a scene written down and that he probably shot.
He reveals this in an interview with Jake Hamilton (via @PalpamemesYT):
John Boyega confirmed a deleted scene from The Rise of Skywalker where he talks to Rey (skywalker) about his force sensitivity.

Boyega details that the scene would have had Finn admit to Rey that he’s felt the Force ever since he left the First Order, and Rey would have replied by saying that she’s felt the same thing ever since they met.
While having Finn outright saying he was Force-sensitive would have effectively stopped a thousand Youtube theory videos from being made, the scene admittedly doesn’t really do anything huge for the characters besides establish their bond. Nothing changes for either Finn or Rey during the reveal (except maybe that Finn would realize Rey knew something about him, but didn’t tell him).
We don’t know what the future holds for the Sequel Trilogy era, but there are rumors going around that Kathleen Kennedy has met with Daisy Ridley for something. If they do come back to the Sequels though, I just hope that Lucasfilm has enough experience with the fandom to know that they shouldn’t make anything dictated by fans and should just focus on what’s best for the story as a whole.
For now, you can catch the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy now streaming on Disney+.
