Black Mirror Season 7 Returns with a Star-Studded Cast

Charlie Brooker may have taken a break with Black Mirror because of the pandemic, but apparently things aren’t as bleak anymore that the series is pretty much back. Season 6 of Black Mirror came out in 2023, and the trailer for the seventh season has just been dropped.

Check this out:

Besides the revisiting of certain stories with the USS Callister (with Critsin Milioti) and Bandersnatch (Will Poulter), the series has managed to bring in some great talent with the likes of Paul Giamatti, Peter Capaldi, Rashida Jones, Issa Rae, and Awkwafina.

With tech being such a hot-button issue these days, it’s pretty timely that the series would have an episode tackling AI head-on. It’s not clear exactly what the series has to say about AI, but with the discussion of it being able to replicate art and such will probably be addressed.

Admittedly, Black Mirror episodes have been hit-and-miss lately, but the series has managed to bring to screen some of the most iconic moments in television. After some great laughs with the Cunk on Life mockumentaries, it was inevitable that Brooker would come back once again to give audiences another uncomfortable look at the grim future of technology.

Personally I’m just excited to see Milioti back. USS Callister was one of the best episodes of the series overall, and it’s going to be great to update on her character and how things have changed since she had to go up against Jesse Plemons’ Captain Kirk.

Black Mirror 7 premieres on Netflix on April 10.
