It’s no mystery that the Justice League film was a fiasco behind the scenes, and while some actors have chosen to stay in their respective franchises, Ben Affleck had famously quit the role of Batman. Though he’s set for one more appearance in The Flash, it looks like Batfleck may be coming back for one more movie.
As confirmed by Jason Momoa on his IG, Affleck is part of the Aquaman 2 reshoots, and he would be reprising the part of Bruce Wayne in the film:

While some are speculating that this means that Affleck will be back for more DC movies after The Flash, Aquaman 2 is set to come out first—meaning Affleck’s last appearance as Batman could still be in Ezra Miller’s solo film.
Though there has been a lot of support from fans when it comes to playing the part of Batman, the actor was said to have been struggling with some personal issues behind-the-scenes, ultimately leading to him hanging up the cowl. While I was already resigned to him leaving the DCEU, this does spark some hope for him to appear in more movies in the future.
If rumors are to be believed, Michael Keaton would be the main Batman of the DCEU after some multiverse shenanigans, but it would be great if Affleck would stick around for a bit longer—even if they don’t give him that HBO Max Batman movie that fans have been clamouring for.
Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is set to come out March 17, 2023. The Flash comes out later that year in June.
