We thought director Damien Chazelle was done with the Hollywood romanticism when he made La La Land, but he has another upcoming film harkening back to the golden age of Hollywood with Babylon. To hype up the release this weekend, we have two new trailers for the movie dubbed ‘Naughty’ and ‘Nice,’ and they both give us a look at the two sides of the film.

From Damien Chazelle, Babylon is an original epic set in 1920s Los Angeles led by Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva, with an ensemble cast including Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li and Jean Smart. A tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, it traces the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood.
If anything, the film feels like a prequel to Once Upon a Time in Hollywood where it takes a look behind-the-scenes at the artists who all help bring the entertainment industry to life. Though the film is set in a more conservative era, it’s crazy what they were doing behind the scenes that everyone probably tried their best to keep under wraps.
The movie has managed to nab some top quality talent with Robbie, Pitt, Diego Calva, and Jean Smart. Let’s also not forget that Tobey Maguire looks absolutely insane in whatever role he’s playing in this film.
Catch Babylon when it hits theaters Dec. 23.
