Captain Marvel has finally made its big debut and now Avengers: Endgame is making its way to cinemas too. There’s a lot of anticipation building up over the sequel to Avengers: Infinity War, not only because it’ll serve as the final film in Joe and Anthony Russo’s two-part Avengers movie, but because it’ll serve as an end to an era in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Now, as Endgame fast approaches, a new synopsis to the film has made its way online thanks, and according to the movie description, the MCU is going to end up looking a whole lot different once the film premieres in April.
The synopsis was first posted on Atom Tickets and talks about the remaining members of the Avengers as well as the arrival of Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel. It also teases a “rewrite” of the MCU, saying that nothing will ever be the same once Endgame comes around.
“Thanos snapped his fingers in Avengers: Infinity War, and half the life in the universe instantly dissolved. Now a ragged group of surviving warriors, including Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, and the Hulk works to counteract the Mad Titan’s genocidal action.
Since our heroes couldn’t stop Thanos the first time, what makes them think they can win in a rematch? The answer may be in overwhelming power, thanks to Captain Marvel, or in the tiniest spaces between atoms accessible to Ant-Man. Avengers: Endgame will rewrite the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we know it. When it’s all over, nothing will be the same.”
The only question now is what kind of changes Endgame might bring. Who’s going to die in the film? What’s going to happen to the Avengers after the movie? Who will take the lead?
Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
